Screen Update

Post by huettenwirt »

Hi George,

although I set the flag in the framework settings to use the no-caching signal for the webserver, I get no updates after changing the availability in the calendar. I need to hit F5 in the browser to see the updated list.

Any idea what else I can tweak to get a direct update of the calendar after saving the changes?

Thanks for any hint you could come up with...

Best regards and merry christmas!

Hi Tobias,
thank you for your report.
It would help me to trace this effect if you told me what page exactly is not applying this setting. Can you provide me with the page/controller name?
Best regards,
George

Hi Tobias,

the No caching setting is actually page independent. What it does is, it adds the following instructions to the HTML header of all TCN pages:

Code: Select all

<meta http-equiv="Cache-Control" content="no-cache, no-store, must-revalidate" />
<meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache" />
<meta http-equiv="Expires" content="0" />
From an application perspective there is not much more I can do. It will cause the browser not to load from cache but to rerun the page script.
So, once you switched that setting on, reload a page and check the source code to see whether those lines are in the HTML header.

Best regards
George
