Deleting Daynotes

Post by tschlossmacher » 2018-08-11, 21:09

Hello,

your software is really good but i have a small problem..

How is it possible to delete multiple daynotes with one click?

Now i only can find the option by clicking on every day and deleting the daynote for each day.

Is it possible to delete daynotes for e.g. a whole week?

Many thanks in advance. It would be awesome if you can help me, because i want to convice my boss that we buy the software for our company.

Kind regards from Germany

Hi Tobias,
currently you can only delete a single daynote or you can clear all for a month.
But clearing all will also remove all absences for that month.
There is no separate dialog to manage daynotes only.
Alternatively, you can delet them in the database directly if you are familiar with it, e.g. with phpMyAdmin.
Best regards

Hello George,

oh okay :/

Is it planned to add this feature? It would be a huge positive thing because now for example if someone requests a 14 day vacation. The manager has to delete 14 daynotes by deleting every single daynote. If you calculate this up to 10 employees who he is responsable for...

Would it be a huge amount to add this feature? It would be super, because with that feature i think your software is perfect. It contains everything you need and is easy to use.

I hope you can add this feature to delete multiple daynotes :)

Many many Thanks in Advance

Hello George,

thank you for your quick release and implementation of the requested feature!

I already tested it and it works fine, but with one exception.

If you set that the normal user can not edit his daynotes, it works fine! So if you click on a daynote to edit you get a message that you dont have the rights to do that, so that is really really good.

But unfortunately the user has the rights to delete all daynotes by himself over the new implementated button.

It appears that the button didnt check if the user has the neccesary rights to delete the daynotes.

Maybe its possible to implement an configuration that the button "delete all daynotes" doesnt appear. And only the Button "delete all absences" appear.
Or maybe its possible that the button will do a quick check if the user has the righs to do this action.

I don´t know how much time it takes to optimise this process , but many thanks in advance for your help and correction of the problem.

Kind regards
Tobias

Hi Tobias,
that makes absolutely sense. I will incproprate that in the next release.
Until then, use the attached calendaredit.php and replace the one in the "views" folder.
