[PATCH] holiday iCal import

Post by Franz » 2012-04-16, 15:04

Hi,

at the beginning of this year we created a ical holiday import.
you specifie a ical file containing the holidays and it will set the holidays in you teamcal database.

a good source for german holidays is http://www.schulferien.org/iCal/.

it was only meant as a internal solution and is therefore somehow quick and dirty but with some polishing (better ui integration, describtion text) it would give a nice feature.

the patch is at https://gist.github.com/2398571

best regards,
franz

Great!!

One wish... can you please test or adapt this ical import to support the ics file from here?

So I can import the matches from our team into teamcal!?

Thanks
Franz

Again big thanks to you Franz! Working nice...

Now I "frickel" a little myself to also be able to import the SUMMARY and LOCATION lines directly into/as as daynote 8)

P.S.: When there is already a holiday on day x and in the imported ics file this day is also present, then this day is overwritten with the ics data, correct?

Thats right.

The script scans the ics for the first and last occouring event. Removes the selected absence type between those to days and inserts the events of the ics into the teamcal database overwritting whatever there was before. (except for the weekends if you didn't select this option).
