Blank screen or mysterious screen

Post by Me9a » 2014-02-20, 23:55

When i try to open/install tcpro i mean /tcpro/ in my browser i have a white screen and nothing in the sourcecode
same with /tcpro/index.php

also when i open /tcpro/installation.php
i get <?=$LANG['inst_lic_error']?>
with an popup

i can still fill everything out (i can see which field means what on the wiki tutorial) and then click install bottom left
i get the following in the url bar of the browser:
tc_pro/<?=$_SERVER['PHP_SELF']?>
and on the browser output:
Not Found

The requested URL /tc_pro/< was not found on this server.
well i managed to put a backup from an other server into the mysql database and uploaded the files then i end up with this: tcpro_bypass_install.jpeg i cant read anything still.

so i cant install it on my server :(
it seems to happen with every tcpro version no matter which.

i tryed nearly every of these:
tcpro_34002.zip
tcpro_34003.zip
tcpro_35000.zip
tcpro_35001.zip
tcpro_36007.zip
tcpro_36010.zip
tcpro_36011.zip

what else the webhoster has:
PHP 5.4
MySQL 5.5
60 seconds script running time
128mb RAM

please help me i would love to use your plugin for our clan thanks (like i did in the past to find times for clanwars ect)

Hi Me9a
you have to set short_open_tag to 1 in your php.ini
See deatils here: http://de3.php.net/manual/en/ini.core.p ... t-open-tag

sorry for this late answer but i was takeing a while to get some time

anyway the only php.ini i can possibly edit is the php.ini from tcpro and it dosnt seem to do any impact when i add there:
short_open_tag=On

i cant find anything in the webinterface beside changing the php version to whatsoever i like...

i guess phpmyadmin is something diffrent ? ^^ or i dont find anything there...

not even the ftp acess helps me in that case

so i have no idea where i can find and edit this php.ini :(

Hi
many hosters do not support custom php.ini files. That maybe the reason why the change to the php.ini file did not take effect. You have to contact your hoster and ask him how you can change these settgins for your installation.
Best regards,
