Installation problems

Post by Rippie » 2010-03-10, 18:24

Hi everyone,

Downloaded the TeamCal Pro latest version, unzipped the rar file and copied the content into our local linux server.

Installation screen comes up fine. Testing on URL and MYSQL connection both goes green for OK but when i hit install i get following PHP error codes:

Warning: strlen() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /var/www/html/teamcal/installation.php on line 186
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/html/teamcal/installation.php:186) in /var/www/html/teamcal/installation.php on line 201

TOOL ERROR:
Configuration Exists
You already have an existing configuration file "config.tcpro.php" in your TeamCal Pro directory. If you run this installation again it will be overwritten. Also, if you use the same database settings as your current installation, the database will be ovewritten as well.

Now this is a clean install, only hit install once. there is a 770 permission on the teamcal folder.

Mysql has NOTHING in it from this tool.

Any ideas ?

Hi Rippie,

not sure what went wrong there. Maybe a PHP version issue.

What your description tells me though is that your proper config.tcpro.php file has been created. Only the insertion of the sample data into your database went wrong. You can try two things:

1)
In fact the installation.php script is not quite correct in line 186. Obviously your PHP config is picky enough to see that. Change the line from
if (strlen($file_content)) {
to
if ($file_content) {

Then delete your config.tcpro.php file and start the installation again.

2.)
It seems your config file is ok. Just insert the sample.sql into your database using phpMyAdmin. Then start Tcpro.

Best regards,
George

That did seem to fix it, now there is another php 5 issue..

Warning: putenv() [function.putenv]: Warning: Cannot set environment variable 'TZ' - it's not in the allowed list (setting: safe_mode_allowed_env_vars) in /customers/rippie.dk/rippie.dk/httpd.www/teamcal/includes/functions.tcpro.php on line 1488

this is the line:
putenv("TZ=".$myTimeZone);

Sorted it i think by putting PHP_ in front of the TZ. It is caused by PHP5.

So far it looks really really good !! What are future development plans ?

Hi Rippie,

glad it worked out and glad you like it.

There are so many plans ... but so little time! I am not sure when I can get back to TeamCal.

Best regards,
George
